Project-based opportunity in a HOME OFFICE.
Client is looking for someone with strong typing skills, a strong comfort level in editing/formatting Word documents (importing and inserting graphs, charts, photos, maps, etc.) and availability working 30-50 hours/week as the project nears completion (including a Saturday or two).
This role will support the grant writing process. Will be working in a HOME (condo) in Pinehills. No separate bathroom and most work will be done at the dining room table or out on the (beautiful) back deck, weather permitting. Very friendly, smart and lovely people.
Client will dictate and candidate will type from dictation. These grants are LONG and once the RFP is approved, the process is quick. Client anticipates this position will last 1-2 months as this will be deadline-driven once it's announced.
Start date will most likely be the first or second week in May.
- Comfortable working in a home environment
- Types 65-70 words per minute with ACCURACY
- Strong skills in Word
- Familiarity with Adobe
- Strong skills with internet research
- Flexible with schedule
- Has experience with grant-writing and/or non-profit organizations
- Maybe has a legal background (not required)
Position is about 80% typing and 20% mix of internet research and formatting in Word.
Hours will fluctuate and start around 30/week, increasing to 40+ (potentially) as the deadline nears. Ideal start time is 10am, working about 6 hours a day Monday-Friday. Towards the end, a Saturday or two may be required to meet the deadline. The last two weeks of this project may be the most intense as there are unknown factors that could come up and delay/expedite things. Won't know until then so someone with flexibility in schedule/hours is KEY.
