Provide reports and interpret the results of operations to General Manager. This includes the formulation of accounting policies, the preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required.
Responsible for maintaining G/L integrity and accuracy.
Oversight for the reconciliation of multiple posting sources (PR / AR / AP) to ensure the accuracy of the General and Subsidiary ledgers.
Supervision of monthly and annual financial reporting by developing and posting journal entries to properly amortize, accrue, or record transactions.
Development of budgets and forecasts for various departments subject to approval of the VP/GM
Forecasting for short-range and long-range business operations
Assure protection for the assets of the business through internal control, internal auditing and ensuring proper insurance coverage.
Managing and monitoring credit/collection applications.
Monitor inventory levels and advise management regarding variances.
Develop and report on capital spending as required for the acquisition of new equipment to improve processes or improve productivity or to replace obsolete or unmaintainable equipment.
Manage department and direct reports in accordance with operating policies and procedures.
Work as a team with other members of management and other employees to achieve overall company objectives.
Manage department in a professional manner with unquestioned integrity.
High proficiency in business systems costing, payables, receivables, etc.
Assume other activities and responsibilities as directed.
This position requires a level of knowledge that is usually associated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA preferred with ten years of experience in Financial Management.
Proficient at MS Office Programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience utilizing ERP systems.
